Job Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and scale robust backend systems that power our products. This role will focus on developing high-performance APIs and microservices while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across our platform.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and related technologies
• Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices to support product functionality
• Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning
• Integrate backend services with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment and actively participate in ceremonies
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automated build and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
• Continuously identify opportunities for performance improvement and system optimization
• Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls.

Experience and Desired Skills:

• 4 to 7 years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and building microservices architectures
• Solid experience working with PostgreSQL, including performance optimization and indexing
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Groovy scripting
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
