Job Role
Provide technical leadership across AutoRABIT products and shared platform capabilities. Combine exceptional hands-on engineering with a strong view of customer needs, product differentiation and long-term technical direction. Your mandate is to improve the company’s ability to build products customers trust and choose, and to translate that direction into working software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Company-level product direction. Work with Product, the CTO, VP of Engineering and customer-facing leaders to identify the technical capabilities that matter most to customer value and product differentiation. Use customer evidence and market understanding to shape investment options, build-versus-buy decisions and long-term platform direction.
  • Cross-product architecture. Guide architecture across product boundaries, shared services and integrations. Simplify dependencies, clarify interfaces and reduce systemic risks. Define staged modernisation plans that protect existing customers while enabling future capabilities. Establish decision principles with accountable product and engineering owners.
  • Hands-on execution. Personally design and implement critical components, reference solutions and technically demanding capabilities. Lead complex initiatives through validation and rollout. Resolve the highest-impact systemic engineering problems without becoming the default owner of every difficult implementation task.
  • Production AI leadership. Guide reliable AI-enabled capabilities and engineering practices. Establish evaluation methods, tenant and data boundaries, safe tool execution, oversight, observability and cost controls appropriate to each use case. Demonstrate where AI improves outcomes and where simpler approaches are preferable.
  • Engineering capability. Mentor Principal Engineers, architects and senior technical leaders. Establish reusable practices for secure, reliable and maintainable delivery. Improve the quality of engineering decisions across teams and build leadership capacity that persists beyond your direct involvement.
  • Executive influence and accountability. Communicate technical trade-offs in terms of customer impact, investment and risk. Partner with the CTO on enterprise direction and the VP of Engineering on execution. Agree decision rights for cross-product initiatives and make outcomes visible to leadership and the teams delivering them.
  • Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls.

Experience & Desired Skills
Required Skills (Mandatory)
  • 15+ years delivering complex enterprise software, with sustained evidence of company-wide or multi-product technical impact.
  • Exceptional hands-on expertise in Java, distributed systems, enterprise APIs and SaaS architecture.
  • Experience leading major initiatives across multiple teams and bringing them into reliable production use.
  • Demonstrated production AI delivery, including evaluation, security, operational performance and economic trade-offs.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, modern delivery practices, containers, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong judgment in security, scalability, reliability, observability and architectural modernisation.
  • Evidence of influencing product direction and translating technical investments into customer or business outcomes.
  • Ability to mentor Principal-level engineers and influence executive decisions without relying on reporting authority.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
  • Salesforce ecosystem products, DevSecOps, release orchestration, code analysis, security or data protection.
  • Experience with regulated enterprise customers and globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Major product achievements or other evidence of external-grade technical impact; patents, publications and open-source contributions are useful but not mandatory.
What success looks like
  • Within 90 days, establish a shared view of the most important cross-product technical opportunities, risks and decision boundaries.
  • Within six months, lead agreed milestones for a strategic platform initiative and demonstrate evidence of improved customer, engineering or business outcomes.
  • Strengthen Principal-level technical leadership and establish a practical, prioritised investment agenda with Product and Engineering.
